What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember small pieces of information — such as whether you have dismissed a banner — across page loads.

Cookies we use

NamePurposeCategoryDuration
cc_consentRemembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies so the banner is not shown on every visit.Strictly necessary180 days
_gaGoogle Analytics 4: distinguishes unique visitors so we can measure aggregate site traffic. Only set after you click "Accept all".Analytics2 years
_ga_4WNRGFREXEGoogle Analytics 4: stores session state for our specific property. Only set after you click "Accept all".Analytics2 years

The _ga and _ga_4WNRGFREXE cookies are set by Google and belong to Google Analytics 4. We do not use Google Ads, advertising cookies, or any cross-site trackers.

How analytics respects your consent

We use Google's Consent Mode v2. That means:

  • Before you make a choice, Google's tag loads on the page with all storage denied — no _ga cookies are written and no personal identifiers are stored in your browser.
  • If you choose "Accept all", analytics storage is switched to "granted", the two _ga cookies above are set, and Google Analytics records pageviews against a pseudonymous visitor ID.
  • If you choose "Reject non-essential", storage stays denied. Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless pings used to model aggregate traffic, with IPs anonymised. No identifiers are stored on your device.
  • Switching from accept to reject later clears the _ga cookies from your browser immediately.

Changing your choice

You can change your cookie choice at any time:

  • Click below to reopen the banner and choose again:
  • Or delete the cc_consent cookie from your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Deleting cookies in your browser

All modern browsers let you view and delete cookies. The exact path depends on your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data and permissions.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
