What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember small pieces of information — such as whether you have dismissed a banner — across page loads.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cc_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies so the banner is not shown on every visit. | Strictly necessary | 180 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4: distinguishes unique visitors so we can measure aggregate site traffic. Only set after you click "Accept all". | Analytics | 2 years |
| _ga_4WNRGFREXE | Google Analytics 4: stores session state for our specific property. Only set after you click "Accept all". | Analytics | 2 years |
The _ga and _ga_4WNRGFREXE cookies are set by Google and belong to Google Analytics 4. We do not use Google Ads, advertising cookies, or any cross-site trackers.
How analytics respects your consent
We use Google's Consent Mode v2. That means:
- Before you make a choice, Google's tag loads on the page with all storage denied — no
_gacookies are written and no personal identifiers are stored in your browser. - If you choose "Accept all", analytics storage is switched to "granted", the two
_gacookies above are set, and Google Analytics records pageviews against a pseudonymous visitor ID. - If you choose "Reject non-essential", storage stays denied. Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless pings used to model aggregate traffic, with IPs anonymised. No identifiers are stored on your device.
- Switching from accept to reject later clears the
_gacookies from your browser immediately.
Changing your choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time:
- Click below to reopen the banner and choose again:
- Or delete the
cc_consentcookie from your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Deleting cookies in your browser
All modern browsers let you view and delete cookies. The exact path depends on your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data and permissions.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
